Chocolate Banana NOT so Milk Shake

1 Cup almond milk
20 - 25 ice cubes
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 Tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa powder (less for less chocolate taste)
1 Banana

Put all of the ingredients in the blender.  Blend until smooth.  
Pour into glass. 
Enjoy!

gingerbread martini

Gingerbread Martini Recipe

Gingerbread Simple Syrup as follows:
1  cup sugar
1  cup water
2  tablespoons mild-flavor molasses
1-inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled, sliced
2  cinnamon sticks
1  teaspoon whole cloves


Orange wedge
Brown sugar

1  oz Gingerbread Simple Syrup (2 tablespoons)
1  oz vanilla vodka (2 tablespoons)
1  oz half-and-half (2 tablespoons)
1/2  oz coffee liqueur (1 tablespoon)



Optional garnish: a small dabble of whipped cream with a gingerbread cookie on top.

  1. Make the Gingerbread Simple Syrup: mix sugar, water, molasses, ginger root, cinnamon sticks and cloves in 1-quart saucepan. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; set aside 1 hour to cool. Strain syrup to discard spices. Cover jar, and refrigerate until needed. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
  2. Martini:  Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with orange wedge. Sprinkle brown sugar onto a small plate, and dip moistened rim into the sugar to coat lightly. Fill a  cocktail shaker with ice. Add 1 ounce gingerbread simple syrup, vodka, half-and-half and coffee liqueur; cover and shake. Strain into martini glass.
  3. Garnish if desired and serve.

Spiked Hot Chocolate

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 ounces bitter-sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 ounces kahlua or coffee-flavored liquor
  • marshmallows or whip cream
Directions
  1. Finely chop the chocolate and add to the milk. Stir in the sugar and cook for 15 minutes, or until the sugar is completely dissolved and the chocolate is melted. Do not boil.
  2. Divided the kahlua equally between two large mugs. Pour the chocolate mixture into the mugs and stir to combine. Top with marshmallows or whip cream. 





Earl Grey Orange Iced Tea

  • 12 Earl Grey tea bags or 1/4 cup loose Earl Grey tea
  • Peel of 1 orange, plus orange wedges for garnish
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
Steep tea bags or loose tea and orange peel in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes.
Strain the tea or remove tea bags and orange peel. Pour into a large pitcher. Stir in orange juice and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Add cold water. Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice with orange wedges, if desired.

mock pink lady

  1 1/2 c  milk
      2 tbls lemon juice
      1 tbls grenadine
      1 tbls sugar, granulated
      6 ice cubes - more if needed
 
Add milk, lemon juice, grenadine, sugar and ice cubes into blender. Blend until ice is dissolved; serve immediately.

strawberry italian cream soda

  • 3 tablespoons (1-1/2 oz.) Strawberry Syrup
  • 3 tablespoons (1-1/2 oz.) heavy cream or half & half
  • 1 cup ice
  • 12 oz seltzer water (or your favorite carbonated water) , chilled
  • 1 serving whipped cream
  1. Stir together strawberry syrup and cream in 12 oz glass.
  2. Add ice.
  3. Fill glass with seltzer; stir. Garnish with whipped cream. Serve immediately.

Splash grenadine
Mix in a glass filled with ice and garnish with an orange slice.

  • 2 lemongrass stalks
  • 6 large fresh mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 tablespoons white rum
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 cup chilled seltzer
Microwave lemongrass on high for 40 seconds. Cut bottom 7 inches from each stalk. Slice thinly (save tops for garnish). Combine sliced lemongrass, mint, and sugar in shaker; mash well with muddler or wooden spoon until all sugar dissolves. Add rum and lime juice.   Fill 2 highball glasses with ice; strain shaker mixture into glass and top with seltzer. Garnish with lemongrass top.

~ These will impress everyone at any kind of party.  I like to use these for a pool party or outdoor party.  They always seem to hit the spot!

adult root beer

1 ounce vanilla vodka
4 ounces ginger ale or seltzer
Mix in a glass filled with ice and garnish with a cherry.

carrot cake cocktail

Carrot Cake Drink Recipe 

  • 1 ounce  Irish Cream (such as Bailey’s)
  • 1 ounce  Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 1 ounce  Cinnamon Schnapps 
  • whip cream - optional
Combine all ingredients with three ice cubes in a shaker and shake vigorously.  Strain into a glass and serve immediately with or without ice.  


Optional : top with whip cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon

Hot Raspberry Apple Cider

8 cups of apple cider or apple juice
1 cup of frozen raspberry juice concentrate, thawed
1/4 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick


Combine all the ingredients in a 4 quart pan. Heat over medium heat, and stir occasionally until the mixture starts to simmer. Reduce the heat and simmer 10 more minutes. Remove from heat and serve.

3 oz Orange Juice
3 oz Pineapple Juice
2 tsp Grenadine

Harvest Moon recipe


Directions
Pour first 4 ingredients over ice into a glass, slowly adding grenadine as you stir.

lavender lemonade ~ non alcoholic

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • handful of fresh lavender blooms (or 3 tablespoons of dried lavender)
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • sparkling water


  1. Make a simple syrup (1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, bring sugar and water to a boil)
  2. Add a handful of lavender blooms to the simple syrup. (Or, 3 tablespoons of dried lavender.)
  3. Bring sugar, water, and lavender to a boil, then let it sit and cool down.
  4. Fill a pitcher with ice cubes. Add 1/2 cup lemon juice to 1/2 cup lavender syrup to pitcher. Fill the rest of the pitcher with sparkling water.
  5. Before serving, stir lavender, lemon juice, and sparkling water.

pineapple smoothie ~ non alcoholic

  • 1 1/2 C chilled pineapple juice
  • 1/2 C plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 6 ice cubes 
Combine ingredients in blender and blend well. Serve in chilled glasses. 
Makes 2 servings.

vanilla almond tea shake ~ non alcoholic

1/2  cup  almond-flavored herb tea
   2  scoops  vanilla ice cream
      whipped cream (opt)
      sliced almonds, for garnish (opt) 
Mix the tea and ice cream together in a blender until smooth. Pour the mixture into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream and garnish with sliced almonds, if desired.

  • coarse salt ~ optional
  • 4 ounces tequila, divided
  • 2 ounces orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau, divided
  • 3 cups grapefruit juice, divided
  • 4 grapefruit slices, for garnish
Wet the rims of 4 glasses and coat with coarse salt (if desired); fill the glasses with ice. Pour 1 ounce tequila and 1/2 ounce liqueur into each. Top each with 3/4 cup grapefruit juice and stir. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.

black hole

  • 1 1/2 oz Black Sambuca
  • Club soda


Fill glass 2/3 with ice, add  Sambuca and fill with soda.

8 oz Crystal Light Strawberry Kiwi
1.5 oz Shot Vodka
1 Lime Wedge


Fill glass with ice, add shot or shot 1/2 vodka, fill remainder of glass with Strawberry Kiwi Crystal Light. Squeeze lime into glass and garnish with lime wedge.

  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice




  • Coca Cola




  • lime slice





  • Pour lime juice and coke over ice. Garnish with a lime slice.
